Biographical Sketch
Julia C. Gluesing is an Assistant Professor in the IME Department, and president of Cultural Connections, Inc. (CCI), a small research, training, and consulting firm. She is experienced in the practical application of the theory and methods of anthropology, cross-cultural communication, and organizational culture to the understanding of business issues, and in the development and implementation of solutions to strategic business problems. Her particular specialization is global virtual teams in product development. She is currently the Interim Director of the Institute for Information Technology and Culture at Wayne State University. She received her Ph.D. in Business and Industrial Anthropology, Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, M.A. from Michigan State University in Organizational & Intercultural Communication and Research; B. A. in French and Russian languages from the University of California. She has published professionally and in scholarly journals including The Anthropology of Work and most recently, the Journal of Organizational Behavior, and is currently working on a grant from the National Science Foundation.

National Science Foundation Awards $426,000 to Wayne State for "Digital Dashboard" Research.. The National Science Foundation has awarded a $426,000 grant for a three-year “Digital Diffusion Dashboard Project” to study and develop a new methodology for accelerating the diffusion of innovation in global networked businesses..
